Buyer

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist facade contractor based in Essex who is looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their commercial and procurement team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable business delivering high-profile facade and cladding projects across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure facade, cladding and construction materials in line with project requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate the best prices and lead times.
• Manage purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Work closely with Commercial, Estimating and Project Management teams.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and programme requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Buyer within the construction industry.
• Facade, cladding or external envelope experience is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and construction materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
