Buyer in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire

We are recruiting for a Buyer to join a growing organisation in Haddenham. This Buyer role offers the opportunity to support a busy procurement function, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure goods and services are sourced efficiently and delivered on time.

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, based in Haddenham. This position is offering £32,000 to £38,000 per annum.

Duties:

• Manage supplier onboarding and maintain supplier accreditation records.
• Raise, process and manage purchase orders across the business.
• Source pricing, availability and lead times from suppliers.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding quotations, deliveries and purchasing queries.
• Work closely with internal departments to support purchasing requirements.
• Process GRPOs and resolve invoice queries.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and follow up where required.
• Support import activity, freight arrangements and customs administration.
• Research alternative products and suppliers whilst maintaining accurate records.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a Buyer, procurement, purchasing or supply chain role.
• CIPS Level 3 qualification, or willingness to work towards further qualifications.
• Supplier management experience.
• Understanding of purchase order processing, GRPOs and supplier documentation.
• Experience with imports, exports, freight, customs clearance or Incoterms would be advantageous.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. 
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
