WORKSCOPE

Addison Project Plc are seeking C&I (Control and Instrumentation) Engineering Services from (PSC) contractors who have UK Onshore experience working on EPCM Projects, to support upcoming Process Sector Design Engineering Project.

SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED

The Contractor will provide Control & Instrument Engineering support from concept and FEED through to detailed design, procurement, installation, commissioning and project close-out. 

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team and lead a team of EC&I designers
  • Input to design to provide C&I engineering services across multiple projects, liaising with project managers and collaborating with client representatives, vendors and technical providers.
  • Review/check, approve and verify complex project designs
  • Support HAZIDs, HAZOPs, LOPAs, SIL calcs/assessment, SRS, PTP’s
  • Develop engineering/scope of pre-construction feasibility, concept and FEED stages of project design life.
  • Produce a project cost, time and resource format estimate directly from client scope
  • Complete site surveys efficiently and in accurate detail to support the project design process effectively
  • Participate in project (internal and client facing) design progress reviews, 3D model and layout reviews, constructability reviews, design verification reviews and general multidisciplinary project meetings
  • Develop C&I engineering documentation to enable efficient procurement of equipment, installation of projects, and provide site construction/commissioning support for :

Scope of work documentation

Datasheet and technical specification of field equipment

Instrument specification documents including pressure, temperature, flow, level, control valves and analytical instrumentation. 

Control panel & control system specification documents

Technical input into P&IDs, cause & effect schedules, trip & alarm schedules

Technical input into process control philosophy specifications & user requirement specifications

I/O schedule

Instrument schedule

I.S. loop entity calculations

Hazardous area inspection schedules (DSEAR)

Technical bid evaluation/SRF

FAT & SATs

O&M manuals

Pre-commissioning checklists

Preparation of construction handover packs

Project close-out, hand-over work list and as-building

Design decision log / diary

Design Risk Assessment

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • HNC minimum, ideally degree qualification in a relevant subject with demonstrable proven relevant UK process sector industry experience.
  • Proficient in all aspects of technical drawing and documentation content, be able to review/check, approve and be comfortable in verifying complex project designs.
  • Competency in functional safety engineering experience is beneficial to this role but not essential.
  • Competency in electrical design engineering is beneficial to this role but not essential.
  • Experienced in working from P&IDs directly to produce and develop EC&I scope.
  • Ability to understand scope and identify variation to original project requirements where necessary.
  • Experienced in the project installation tender process and be comfortable in supporting all aspects including vendor/contractor liaison.
  • Experience in the engineering/scope development of pre-construction feasibility, concept and FEED stages of project design life.
  • Good understanding of CompEx requirements within hazardous area explosive environments.
  • Good understanding of UK industry specifications, standards and regulations.
