About the role…? 

To act in the capacity of a Cable Jointer Mate to support the Jointer (craftsman) with electrical installations/jointing activities and Field Manager with Job readiness activities – Materials etc. Assist in coordination of electrical works to ensure full compliance with DNO & Ipsum Powers Policies and Procedures 

As a Cable Jointers Mate you will…? 

• Supporting the work on development sites and the public highway
• Understanding utility plans
• Assisting with the cable jointing and network energisation activities
• Assistance with Connections to substations
• Work with the general public.
• The role is to be support cable jointers with the installation of electrical connections, working with an assistant.
• Preparation and use of tools and machinery, preparation of work sites for various works
• Assistance highlighting any issues which may affect compliance
• Cable laying

? 

About you…? 

• Hold a valid EUSR or CSCS Card 
• Hold a valid First Aid qualification 
• DNO operational Authorisation 
• A good understanding of sustainability and health and safety. 
• Be Conversant with testing procedures. 
• A clean driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel and work in different locations. 
• You also need to be flexible to carry out stand-by duties and attend short notice work in the event of severe weather 
• Knowledge of relevant DNO Policies and Procedures
