Position 1 Recruitment is looking for a CAD Technician to join their client’s engineering and manufacturing team. This is a permanent, full-time position with good opportunities for long-term career development.

Permanent | Full-time | 9:00am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate approval, fabrication and construction drawings
  • Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Use Autodesk Inventor 3D, AutoCAD and Vault Professional
  • Work with engineers, customers and manufacturing teams
  • Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to designs
  • Help improve design processes and efficiency
  • Support Continuous Improvement and Lean activities
  • Follow company quality, safety and ISO 9001 procedures
  • Help identify and reduce design and manufacturing risks
  • Support the development and implementation of new engineering processes

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor 3D, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Good understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing
  • Experience producing Bills of Materials
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Engineering/manufacturing qualification such as HNC/HND or degree is desirable, but relevant experience may also be considered
