The Role

As a Candidate Consultant, you will play a vital role in sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and supporting education professionals looking for their next role. You will become the first point of contact for many of our candidates, helping them through every stage of the recruitment journey.

This is a varied role that combines office-based recruitment with attending universities, careers fairs, education events, networking opportunities, and local recruitment initiatives to proactively attract high-quality teachers and support staff.

Success in this role comes from building lasting relationships, understanding candidates' career aspirations, and ensuring we always have the very best talent available for our partner schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and attract high-quality teachers, teaching assistants, cover supervisors, nursery staff, and SEND professionals.
• Search for candidates using job boards, social media platforms, networking, referrals, and recruitment databases.
• Attend university recruitment events, careers fairs, education exhibitions, and local networking events to promote Enlighten Supply Pool and attract new candidates.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of education professionals.
• Conduct candidate interviews, registrations, and competency-based assessments.
• Ensure all safeguarding and compliance checks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Develop strong relationships with candidates, providing ongoing support throughout their recruitment journey.
• Match candidates with suitable long-term, permanent, and daily supply opportunities.
• Work closely with Recruitment Consultants to understand client requirements and fill vacancies quickly.
• Maintain accurate records using our CRM system.
• Keep up to date with trends within the education sector and local recruitment market.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience at every stage.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys speaking to people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is motivated by achieving results.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous recruitment, resourcing, sales, customer service, education, or talent acquisition experience (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence speaking with people over the phone, online, and face-to-face.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• A proactive and resilient attitude.
• The ability to build rapport and develop lasting professional relationships.
• Good attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and online recruitment platforms.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
