Band 2 - £12.71 per hour (Weekdays), £17.73 per hour (Saturdays) and £23.08 (Sundays & Bank Holidays)
Covering two shifts per week, days & nights from
6.00am – 6.00pm & 6.00pm – 6.00am
Plymouth NHS Foundation Trust are seeking dedicated and reliable Car Park Attendants to join our bank scheme on a part time basis working 24 hours per week (2 shifts per week) with the option to cover extra shifts.
Your role will include supporting the delivery of a first-class Parking Desk service & Parking Permit application system to support the delivery of a customer focussed car parking service, including parking enforcement, zone management, barrier management.
This is a temporary role.
Key Responsibilities
· Patrolling & enforcement: Monitoring car parks, ensuring rules are followed
· Barrier & traffic management: Especially during busy peak times
· Customer support: Helping at the parking desk and assisting visitors
· Drop-off zone control: Keeping traffic flowing safely
· Cash handling: Collecting and counting parking fees
· Site upkeep: Cleaning signs, litter picking, bin emptying, maintaining general cleanliness
· Weather duties: Gritting paths, clearing snow when needed
· Support roles: Assisting grounds maintenance, security monitoring, and mobility services
· Flexibility: Covering colleagues when needed
What we’re looking for
· Must have a clean full UK Driving Licence
· Similar experience and experience dealing with the public
· Good communication skills and works well in a team
· Ability to stay calm under pressure (important in a hospital setting)
· Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
· Experience in a hospital or large clinical environment desirable but not essential
