The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in helping our students understand their future and achieve their ambitions. As a Careers Coach, you'll support the delivery of a high-quality, progressive Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme across the College.
A core focus of the role is working closely with curriculum departments to ensure a strong and consistent careers and employability offer is embedded within the student experience. You'll collaborate with staff to develop meaningful careers activities and engagement opportunities, ensuring students can access experiences that support their progression and future aspirations.
You'll plan and deliver engaging group-based sessions, including tutorials, workshops and events focused on CV writing, interview preparation, employability skills and personal development. Through this, you'll help students build confidence, develop essential workplace skills and prepare effectively for their next steps into higher education, apprenticeships or employment.
The role also includes supporting key careers initiatives such as UCAS delivery, creating engaging digital and physical careers resources, and working closely with employers and external partners to broaden opportunities for students. You'll contribute to tracking learner progression and destinations, using insight and data to continuously improve the careers offer across the College.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing central careers service where you can influence practice, strengthen departmental engagement and make a real difference to student outcomes and aspirations.
About You

You'll have experience of working with young people and/or adults within an education, training or support environment, with the ability to deliver activities that build confidence, skills and readiness for future progression.
A key strength will be your ability to work collaboratively with curriculum teams, building positive relationships and supporting departments to embed careers and employability throughout the learner journey.
You'll be organised, proactive and confident in managing multiple priorities, with strong digital skills to support the development of resources and the delivery of engaging careers activities.
You'll also demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusion, ensuring all learners, including those with additional needs, can access and benefit from the careers programme.
