TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming secondary schools across Swansea, who are looking to appoint a Caretaker. These schools are committed to providing a safe, clean and positive learning environment, with supportive leadership teams and a strong focus on the wellbeing of both staff and students.

We are recruiting for Caretaker positions across a range of contract types, including short-term, long-term, part-time, full-time and permanent opportunities. The successful Caretaker will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and security of the school site, carrying out minor repairs, opening and closing the premises, monitoring health and safety standards, and ensuring the school environment remains clean, safe and operational.

The successful Caretaker will have:

• Previous experience working as a Caretaker, Site Supervisor or Facilities Assistant, ideally within a school or similar setting

• Knowledge of general building maintenance and basic repairs

• A good understanding of health and safety procedures

• The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work
