Carpenter – Fire Remediation

Location: Cornwall
Rate: £200–£240 per day DOE
Contract: Short Term 
Start: Immediate

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join an established contractor carrying out fire remediation and fire safety works across residential properties in Cornwall.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter with previous experience in fire remediation, fire stopping, compartmentation or remedial construction works.

The Role

You will be working on a range of fire remediation projects, carrying out carpentry and associated remedial works to ensure properties meet the required fire safety and building standards.

Duties may include:

• Fire remediation and remedial carpentry works
• Installing and repairing fire-rated doors and frames
• Repairing and replacing timber elements
• Working on compartmentation and fire-stopping measures
• Boxing-in and creating fire-rated enclosures
• Working from drawings, specifications and site instructions
• Liaising with site managers and other trades
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site safety

Requirements

• Previous experience as a qualified/skilled Carpenter
• Experience within fire remediation or fire safety works is highly desirable
• Good knowledge of carpentry and remedial construction
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Own tools
• Full UK driving licence
