Carpenter Multi-Trade

Daniel Owen Ltd

Job Title: Carpenter Multi-Trade
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Sector: Property Services
Location: Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: £26.82 per hour

We have an opportunity for a Carpenter Multi-Trade to support maintenance works across a single housing estate in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. This is a static role based within a well-established neighbourhood, with all properties located within walking distance.

A secure on-site lock-up is provided for tool storage, eliminating the need to carry tools to and from the estate each day. While a van and fuel card are not provided for this role, a van is available on the estate for use during working hours if required.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance works across tenanted and void council properties, both internally and externally, with a carpentry bias.
  • Completing a range of carpentry and multi-trade tasks, including hanging doors and frames, fitting kitchens, installing structural flooring and finishes, dry lining, replacing locks, fitting baths and basins, tiling, painting, decorating, and general repairs.
  • Using a handheld PDA device to receive work instructions, update job progress in real time, and accurately record completed works.
  • Delivering excellent customer service by treating residents and their homes with respect, maintaining clear communication, and completing work to a high standard.
  • Maintaining clean and safe working areas by using appropriate protective coverings and leaving each property clean, tidy, and compliant upon completion of works.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Site Carpentry (desirable)

If you have previous experience within social housing and meet the above requirements, we encourage you to apply online or get in touch with Leah for further information.
