This role is with an established and growing business company operating in the FMCG industry and would be suited to a Category Manager with Food/Drinks/Ingredients/packaging experience.

Description

• Develop and implement category strategies to meet business goals.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings or innovation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Analyse spend data and report on key performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.
• Lead supplier performance reviews to maintain high standards.
• Support the development of sustainable sourcing practices.

Profile

A successful Category Manager should have:

• Experience in the delivery of Category/Commodity Management strategy for raw materials, ingredients and/or packaging within the FMCG/Food/Drinks/Chemicals industry.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of category management principles and market analysis.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• An analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £45,000 to £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
