This is an exciting opportunity to lead Principal Designer and CDM Advisory services across a diverse range of projects throughout London and the South East, working with prestigious clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
You'll play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their CDM responsibilities, influencing safer design decisions from the earliest project stages and ensuring best practice is embedded throughout the construction lifecycle.
If you're passionate about health and safety, thrive on building strong client relationships, and want to make a genuine impact on how projects are delivered, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
As a CDM Consultant, you'll take ownership of Principal Designer and CDM Advisory commissions, providing expert guidance to clients and project teams while ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015.
You will be responsible for managing health and safety risks throughout the design process, coordinating stakeholders, and helping clients meet their legal obligations while achieving industry best practice.
What You'll Be Doing
• Lead the delivery of Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services across a range of projects
• Act as a key technical advisor and trusted point of contact for clients across London and the South East
• Review Pre-Construction Information (PCI), Design Risk Reviews (DRRs), and design risk management documentation
• Chair design risk workshops, coordination meetings, and stakeholder reviews
• Monitor project compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and industry best practice
• Conduct site inspections, health and safety audits, and provide detailed reports and recommendations
• Support clients in identifying, eliminating, and managing design-related risks
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, and contractors
• Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a confident and commercially aware CDM professional who can build trusted relationships, influence project teams, and provide expert advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Requirements
• Proven experience within a CDM Consultancy or Principal Designer role
• Strong technical knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015
• Relevant health and safety qualifications and professional memberships (NEBOSH, APS or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience delivering CDM advisory services on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Full UK Driving Licence
You'll Stand Out If You Also Have
• Experience within the retail, commercial, leisure, or wider construction sectors
• A strong commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Experience delivering projects within challenging timescales
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to travel when required
• Strong Microsoft Office and general IT skills
• A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
