Chartered Civil Engineer

ALink Recruitment are working with an engineering consultancy that are looking for a Chartered Civil Engineer with strong design experience and a proven background in the UK rail sector. The successful candidate will lead and deliver practical, safe and compliant civil engineering solutions from concept through detailed design, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

Role:

· Lead civil engineering design activities on rail infrastructure projects.

· Develop and review calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and design packages.

· Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, Network Rail or TfL standards, client requirements and CDM obligations.

· Provide technical assurance, resolve design issues and support constructability reviews.

· Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, contractors and stakeholders to achieve programme and quality requirements.

· Mentor engineers and technicians and provide proportionate checking and technical guidance.

· Support bids, fee estimates, programmes and client presentations where required.

Requirements

· Chartered Engineer status

· Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.

· Substantial civil engineering design experience, including responsibility for technical delivery and design assurance.

· Demonstrable experience delivering projects in the UK rail environment.

· Good knowledge of Network Rail and/or TfL standards, assurance processes and project delivery stages, including PACE or equivalent.

· Strong communication, commercial awareness and the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects.
