My client is looking to recruit a Chartered Structural Engineer to join their busy and expanding team in Newark. They work on private and public financed projects with key clients throughout the UK. They have good working relationships with local architects, business professionals, and public sector clients in the locality, with a strong web presence.
They are a well-respected practice with an emphasis on excellent customer care and innovative design solutions. They are looking to expand the practice and require high-quality engineers to fit into the existing organisation.
About the Chartered Structural Engineer Role
The successful Chartered Structural Engineer will have many years of experience spent working up to a senior level within a small to medium-sized practice, as well as experience in design. Importantly, the candidate must have existing skills and experience in undertaking forensic building defect surveys and report writing. The candidate must possess a personality that allows for effective communication with staff and clients, with a proven track record for business generation.
• Structural Inspection and report writing experience.
• Self-motivated, confident, and hard-working with a drive to succeed.
• Team player, able to work alongside other engineers in the office.
• Able to work independently on projects from start to finish.
• Capable of accuracy, clear thinking, and possess good presentation skills.
Progression
This company is an amazing opportunity for progression. If the candidate demonstrates excellent performance, they can expect to join at Associate Director level, taking on support roles that will include nurturing graduate engineers to become Chartered and providing support to the Directors in the running of the practice.
