Connect2Swindon are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef De Partie to support Swindon Council in their diverse culinary team.

This a Temporary role expected to run until March 2027.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present menu items to the highest standards
• Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and timely service
• Collaborate with team members to innovate and improve menu offerings
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety in your work area
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Support junior kitchen staff in their training and development
• Actively contribute to a positive, inclusive kitchen culture and uphold company values

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen
• Solid understanding of cooking techniques, food presentation, and kitchen safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Commitment to ongoing learning and culinary development
• Respect for diversity and demonstrated ability to work with colleagues from various backgrounds

Day-to-Day

• Start your shift by preparing ingredients and setting up your station
• Cook and assemble dishes according to the menu and daily specials
• Coordinate with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to the kitchen management
• Clean and sanitise your workspace before and after service hours
• Participate in team meetings focused on menu planning, kitchen improvements, and staff well-being
