Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Chef de Partie to join a busy open plan kitchen, working within a team of 7 chefs and 3 kitchen porters.
This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality food across a diverse and fast-paced environment. You will contribute to maintaining consistency, food quality, and compliance with standards while supporting a range of catering offers including retail, hospitality, and events.
You will work across multiple kitchen sections, supporting the delivery of varied food offerings from street food and deli to high-end hospitality such as fine dining and tasting menus. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and flexible chef looking to grow within a professional and supportive team environment.
Job Description
You will support food preparation and service delivery across a diverse offer, including street food, deli, breakfast, grab & go, coffee shop bakery, and high-end hospitality such as canapés, fine dining, and tasting menus, ensuring all outputs meet agreed specifications and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver food in line with company recipes, standards, and portion control guidelines
- Maintain food safety, allergen management, and health & safety compliance at all times
- Support hospitality and event catering, including canapés, bowl food, and plated service
- Operate flexibly across kitchen sections and assist with front-of-house service when required
- Take responsibility for opening and closing procedures within designated areas
- Monitor food production, presentation, and wastage using company systems and processes
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and COSHH compliance across all kitchen areas
- Support the Sous Chef and supervise sections or smaller operations when required
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
- Experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume environment
- CIEH Level 2 (minimum)
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and portion control
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Customer-focused with the ability to deliver high-quality service
- Flexible approach to working across different kitchen areas
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
