Chef Lecturer in Merseyside

Hours: 36 hours per week

Eden Brown are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Chef Lecturer to join a Further Education College in Greater Manchester on a full-time, temporary, ongoing basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef who wants to share their industry knowledge and experience with the next generation of hospitality professionals.

The Role
As a Chef Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality practical and theoretical teaching across hospitality and professional cookery programmes. You will support students in developing their culinary skills, knowledge and confidence, while helping them prepare for successful careers within the hospitality industry.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging practical cookery sessions and classroom-based lessons.
* Teaching students across a range of levels and abilities.
* Providing demonstrations and developing students practical culinary techniques.
* Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and professional practice.
* Supporting students with their personal, academic and vocational development.
* Keeping up to date with current industry practices, trends and expectations.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide an outstanding student experience.

About You
We are looking for someone with a strong professional chef and teaching background who is passionate about developing others. You will ideally have substantial experience working within a professional kitchen environment and a genuine interest in education and training.

You should have:
* Professional chef/catering experience.
* A relevant professional cookery qualification.
* Strong practical culinary skills and up-to-date industry knowledge.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to inspire, motivate and engage learners.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and student support.

A DBS Is also needed for this role.
