An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Child Protection Chair to support Gloucestershire's ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.

The Role

You will:

• Chair Initial Child Protection Conferences
• Lead Review Child Protection Conferences
• Ensure effective challenge and scrutiny of safeguarding practice
• Promote the voice of the child throughout conference processes
• Support quality assurance and best practice across the service

Working Arrangements

• Initial Child Protection Conferences conducted face-to-face
• Review conferences attended in person where required
• Team meetings held face-to-face
• Predominantly home-based working outside of these commitments

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker
• Social Work England registration
• Extensive child protection experience
• Previous conference chairing experience preferred
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and practice
• Ability to challenge constructively and drive positive outcomes

Rate

£40.00 per hour
