Children's Residential Support Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking caring, resilient, and dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers / Teaching Assistants to join our team in Coppull. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people.
The successful candidate will work closely with young people to support their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education, and personal development while making a meaningful difference in their lives.
Duties
- Support children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a residential care setting.
- Assist with daily routines, personal development, and educational activities.
- Provide emotional support and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Support young people to develop social, communication, and life skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
- Assist with behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies.
- Ensure the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all young people at all times.
- Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Shift Pattern
2 days on, 4 days off
(Including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant experience working with children
- Experience supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work patiently, empathetically, and professionally in challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or residential care are beneficial but not essential.
