£35,000 – £40,000 per annum + additional benefits

Are you an experienced Deputy Manager looking for your next opportunity within children’s residential care?
We are currently supporting a well-established children’s residential provider in North Devon who are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the day-to-day management of a children’s home.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children and young people can thrive.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the overall running of the home
- Providing strong leadership and guidance to the residential team
- Supporting staff with supervision, development and performance
- Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and records are maintained to a high standard
- Promoting positive relationships and outcomes for children and young people
- Supporting with safeguarding and incident management
- Taking responsibility for the home in the Registered Manager’s absence
- Ensuring the home operates in line with relevant legislation and regulations
- Supporting Ofsted inspections and maintaining high standards of care
- Working closely with families, professionals and external agencies
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working within children’s residential care
- Has previous experience at Deputy Manager, Senior or Team Leader level
- Holds, or is working towards, a relevant Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People’s Services
- Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and children's residential regulations
- Is confident leading and developing a team
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
- Can demonstrate a positive, resilient and professional approach
