Children's Residential Care Deputy Manager

Apricus Resourcing are currently working with a Children's Residential Care Service with site based in TD15 Post Code Area of Berwick Upon Tweed Northumberland recruiting for a Deputy Manager. 

Due to the need to travel between sites a full driving licence is required, fuel cost for travelling away from main base will be reimbursed. Please only apply if you have this.

Deputy Manager - (Full Time approx 40 hours per week on a rolling rota. Shift patterns with sleepovers may be required. Includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays and on-call duties)

Deputy Managers are the bridge between the care team and the Registered Manager. You set the tone on shift, coach and supervise staff, and make sure that every child and young person receives safe, nurturing, high-quality care every day, on every shift.

You will support the Registered Manager in the efficient running of the home, taking real responsibility for the operational management of the house alongside providing excellent, hands-on care to children and young people.

Upon successful appointment, you will undergo an intensive programme of induction and training, potentially with a clear pathway towards Registered Manager for the right person.

Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare held (essential); Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare held or willingness to work towards it (desirable). 

This is being recruited for on a permanent basis with salary £35,360 – £41,600 determined by interview score and qualifications, plus on-call allowance, sleepover allowance and PRP of approximately £6,000.
