Bright Young Futures is a residential care provider supporting children and young people aged 8–17. We currently operate a well-established home in the Ilford area and are proud to be expanding with a newly registered home.
This growth brings exciting opportunities for new team members to join us at a pivotal time, with strong potential for development and leadership progression as our services continue to grow.
Working Pattern:
Full-time position on a structured rolling rota (Monday–Sunday), including:
- Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:30pm
- Waking night shifts: 8:00pm – 8:30am
This role is ideal for candidates seeking consistency, stability, and full-time hours within a supportive rota system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people with their daily routines and personal development
- Build trusting, positive relationships as a key worker
- Promote education, independence, and positive behaviour
- Work collaboratively with social workers, families, and professionals
- Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and independence goals
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised home environment
- Complete accurate records and reports
- Make sound, informed decisions to safeguard and support young people
- Work effectively as part of a team delivering consistent, high-quality care
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience working with children or young people (care, support, or education setting)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to advocate for young people and promote their wellbeing
- Reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding practices
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in residential childcare
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
