Children's Residential Support Worker

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people and helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential?
We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated team within a residential children's home, supporting young people who may have experienced complex trauma, emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours.
The Role
- Provide high-quality, trauma-informed care and support to children and young people.
- Build trusting relationships and provide consistent emotional support and positive boundaries.
- Support young people with complex trauma, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Encourage independence, confidence, life skills and positive development.
- Support daily routines, activities, education and appointments.
- Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures while maintaining accurate records.
- Work closely with colleagues and other professionals to provide consistent support.
- Contribute to creating a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
About You
- Caring, patient, resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
Shift Pattern
This is a shift-based role and will include evenings, weekends and approximately 1 sleep-in per week.
