RSS Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor to oversee a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with experience in reinforced concrete (RC) works, concrete slabs, steel reinforcement, commercial fencing, and site access construction, including the installation of access steps and stairways.

Working across construction and infrastructure projects, you will supervise site teams, coordinate resources, maintain health and safety standards, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Rail experience is advantageous but not essential, and PTS training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise civil engineering and construction works from mobilisation through to completion.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Oversee reinforced concrete (RC) works, concrete slab construction and steel fixing activities.
• Supervise the installation of commercial fencing and site security systems.
• Coordinate site access works including access steps, stairways and walkways.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress against the programme.
• Deliver site briefings and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Liaise with clients, principal contractors and project stakeholders.
• Complete site reports, inspections and relevant project documentation.
• Support planning and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience working as a Civils Supervisor, Construction Supervisor, Site Supervisor or Civil Engineering Supervisor.
• Strong background in: 
  1. Reinforced Concrete (RC) Works
  2. Concrete Slabs
  3. Steel Reinforcement / Steel Fixing
  4. Commercial Fencing
  5. Site Access Construction
  6. Drainage
  7. Infrastructure Projects
• Experience managing site-based construction teams.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.

Essential Qualifications

• CSCS Gold Card
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• PTS (Personal Track Safety)
• Rail Civils or Rail Infrastructure experience.
• Experience working on Network Rail, HS2 or major infrastructure projects.
• Temporary Works awareness.
• First Aid at Work.
