Claims Advisor

Job Title: Claims Adviser
Location: Southend, Essex (Office Based)
Remuneration: £28,000 per annum
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time, 9am to 5.30pm

Job Opportunities:

• Manage claims, covering loss, theft, and accidental damage.
• Process claims and refund requests after cross-training.
• Collaborate with underwriters on product queries.
• Work with the all departments to ensure timely claim resolutions.
• Address and resolve sales and service enquiries.
• Process payments, including premiums and excess charges.
• Manage policy cancellations and engage in retention discussions
• Record and manage first-line complaints in accordance with company procedures.

Experience We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience in claims or customer service within a regulated environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident on the phone and via email.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• A proactive, hardworking attitude with a strong customer service focus.
• Ability to juggle multiple products and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• A curious mindset, eager to challenge the status quo and suggest improvements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in handling customer complaints.
• Familiarity with fraud investigation and management.
