Pin Point Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Container Drivers to join a busy container transport operation based in Danbury.

This role involves the collection and delivery of shipping containers to and from major UK ports, distribution centres and customer sites. Drivers will be responsible for transporting containers safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional Class 1 drivers looking for long-term work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Duties:

  • Collection and delivery of shipping containers from UK ports
  • Transporting containers to customer sites and distribution centres
  • Completing trunking and regional deliveries
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Ensuring all container paperwork is completed accurately
  • Adhering to port security procedures and site rules
  • Maintaining compliance with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • Securing loads and ensuring safe transport of containers
  • Providing a professional service to customers at collection and delivery points

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous Class 1 container experience preferred
  • Dock Card preferred but not essential
  • Good understanding of port operations and container work
  • Excellent knowledge of Drivers' Hours Regulations
  • Professional and reliable attitude
  • Strong customer service skills

Working Hours:

  • Day and Night shifts available
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend work available
  • Ongoing work with Temp to Perm opportunities for the right candidates

Pay Rates:

  • Days: £18.00 per hour
  • Nights: £20.00 per hour
