Earnings: From £17.83ph up to £52.20ph

Class 1 Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest supermarkets, as a Class 1 Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership in, Lutterworth. You will play a vital role in keeping the nation fed by delivering to stores and petrol stations across the region.

Role & Responsibilities :

• Delivering both chilled and ambient loads stored in cages or palletised
• 1-3 store deliveries , this can be ambient or chilled loads
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts :

• Daily and Weekly Bookings
• Various start times available AM and PM
• Minimum 1 weekend day availability is a must
• Weekend only work available

• Automatic pay rises at 12 and 27 weeks
• Double pay on Bank Holidays (up to £56.88ph)

WK 1 Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

• Night Shift 22:00-06:00
• Monday to Sunday - £22.34ph & Overtime - £30.09ph

WK 12 Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

• Night Shift 22:00-06:00
• Monday to Sunday STD £24.96ph & Overtime £32.88ph

WK27 Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

• Night Shift 22:00-06:00
• Monday to Friday STD £26.10ph & Overtime £34.08ph

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months Class 1 driving experience
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
