Class 1 Container Driver – DAYS
We're looking for an experienced Class 1 Container Driver to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. If you're a reliable, safety-conscious driver looking for consistent daytime work, we'd like to hear from you.
You'll be driving modern Class 1 vehicles, completing container deliveries and collections while providing a professional service and ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
(Night Shifts & Tramping available £17.50ph + allowances)
The Role
- Day shifts with start times between 05:00 and 08:00
- Container deliveries and collections
- Minimal handball – primarily driving duties
- Complete vehicle checks before each shift
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and vehicle records
- Follow all road traffic, driver hours and health & safety regulations
- Report any vehicle defects or incidents promptly
Requirements
- Valid Category C+E (Class 1) licence
- Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver hours and road transport legislation
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
What to Expect
- Consistent daytime shifts
- Average 13-hour shifts, with occasional shifts up to 15 hours
