JRS Associates Ltd has partnered with a leading precision engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced CMM Inspector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing quality team inspecting high-precision machined components supplied into industries including Motorsport, Automotive and Defence.

Working within a modern precision machining environment, you'll be responsible for CMM inspection, CMM programming, first-off and final inspection, and producing quality documentation to ensure components meet the highest quality standards.

The Successful CMM Inspector – Package

  • £41,208 per annum
  • Permanent position
  • Twilight Shift - Approx. 4:15pm – 2:00am
  • Flat rate (no shift allowance)

The Successful CMM Inspector – Role

  • Carry out dimensional inspection using CMM equipment
  • Program and operate CMMs using Aberlink software
  • Inspect precision-machined components to engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Produce first-off, in-process and final inspection reports
  • Compile FAIRs, ISIRs and Certificates of Conformity (CoCs)
  • Raise concessions and document non-conformances where required
  • Use manual inspection equipment including Micrometers, Vernier Callipers, Bore Micrometers and Gauges
  • Generate CMM programs for CNC inspection
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to resolve quality issues
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records
  • Support continuous improvement within the Quality Department

The Successful CMM Inspector – Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CMM Inspector
  • Experience programming and operating CMM equipment
  • Experience using Aberlink software
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Competent using manual inspection equipment including Micrometers, Verniers, Bore Gauges and Callipers
  • Experience compiling FAIRs, ISIRs and inspection reports
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good communication and organisational skills
