CNC Machinist

CNC Miller Programmer/Setter:
* You must able to Program, Set & operate Using Okuma but Heidenhain and Fanuc controls are similar (Essential)
* FeatureCAM experience is an advantage but not essential.

Rail Engineering Workshop (Lillie Bridge Depot) - precision machining, manufacturing, and component production for London Underground/Transport engineering

• To manufacture items and make, modify or repair components.
• To set and operate a full range of plant and equipment including: saws, drills, milling machines & if appropriate, centre lathes, planers, CNC machine tools and any other machines.
• To assist/train other staff in the production of work as required.
• To complete all paperwork and reports as required.
• To ensure that the work area and all plant and equipment are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
• To use measuring instruments, gauges and to interpret calculations and readings from the same.
• To manufacture and sharpen cutting tools.
• To carry out general housekeeping without direction.
• To maintain records of previous work and tag finished components for inspection.
• To prepare numerical control part programmes and to install the same onto relevant machines along with appropriate tool memories, tooling and fixtures.
• To check and maintain machine for extraction, coolants, oils and lubricants.
• To index or change carbide tips in sufficient time to maintain quality of output.
