Join a Precision Engineering Team Where Quality Matters
The customer is a growing precision engineering company specialising in the manufacture of high-quality machined components for customers operating in demanding industries, including aerospace, defence, motorsport and advanced engineering.
Our reputation has been built on producing precision components to the highest standards, investing in modern CNC technology and employing skilled engineers who take pride in their workmanship. We manufacture low-volume, high-complexity parts where quality, accuracy and attention to detail are more important than quantity.
As our order book continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Miller to join our friendly and highly skilled team.
The Role
This is a varied hands-on machining position where you'll work on interesting engineering projects rather than repetitive production runs.
You'll be responsible for:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC turning and milling machines.
- Manufacturing high-precision components in small batches.
- Producing parts for industries including Aerospace and specialist engineering.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Working to extremely tight tolerances.
- Carrying out first-off inspection and maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Ensuring machines and tooling are maintained to maximise efficiency.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver customer orders on time.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys precision engineering and takes pride in producing quality work.
Ideally you'll have:
- Experience programming, setting and operating CNC Turning and/or Milling machines.
- Ability to work independently from engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and tooling.
- Experience producing precision components to tight tolerances.
- High attention to detail and quality.
- A positive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Reliability and a willingness to work as part of a close-knit engineering team.
Experience within aerospace or another precision engineering environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
Why Join Us?
Unlike many larger manufacturers, you'll be involved in a wide variety of interesting projects rather than producing the same component every day.
We offer:
- Competitive salary depending on experience.
- Overtime opportunities.
- Stable, long-term employment.
- Friendly and supportive working environment.
- Modern CNC machinery and ongoing investment.
- Interesting work across aerospace and specialist engineering sectors.
- Opportunities to develop your programming and machining skills.
- Secure employment within a growing precision engineering business.
