✔️ Previous experience as a Wood Machinist or Joiner
✔️ Experience operating woodworking machinery
✔️ Ability to read and work from production drawings or job sheets
✔️ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

⏰ Hours:
Monday to Thursday – 8:00am to 4:30pm
Friday – 8:00am to 3:30pm

We're recruiting for an experienced Wood Machinist to join a growing manufacturer in the Hunslet area of Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Wood Machinist with a joinery background who enjoys working with timber and producing high-quality components using a range of woodworking machinery.

As a Wood Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of woodworking machines to manufacture timber components to specification. This role would suit a Wood Machinist who has experience within a joinery workshop and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

🪵 Operating a range of woodworking machinery safely and efficiently
🪵 Using saws, spindle moulders, tenoners, band saws, drills, presses and other woodworking equipment
🪵 Manufacturing timber components to production drawings and job sheets
🪵 Setting up machinery and carrying out routine machine adjustments
🪵 Inspecting finished products to ensure excellent quality standards
🪵 Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

Desirable Skills:

⭐ Previous experience as a Wood Machinist or Bench Joiner
⭐ Confident operating saws, spindle moulders, tenoners, band saws, drills and presses
⭐ Ability to read technical drawings and job sheets
⭐ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
⭐ Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team
