CNC Machinist Programmer

CNC Programmer (Milling & Turning)
Location: Coventry
Pay Rate: ?17.00 to ?18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm / Friday 7:30am to 11:30am
Permanent Position

We are working with a precision engineering company specialising in small to medium batch work, with the flexibility and expertise to scale up for larger projects.

Key Responsibilities
_ Develop and implement CNC machining processes and programmes.
_ Improve production efficiency, quality and cycle times.
_ Support production planning and workflow management.
_ Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
_ Manage preventative maintenance activities.
_ Ensure compliance with quality, safety and 5S standards.
_ Support and develop production teams through effective leadership.

Key Skills & Experience
_ Minimum 5 years' CNC machining experience.
_ Strong knowledge of CNC lathes, milling machines and Fanuc controls.
_ Experience with SOLIDCAM.
_ Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.
_ Understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and ISO 9001.
_ Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
_ Experience within an automotive or precision engineering environment preferred.
