Our client is a well-established and growing precision engineering and manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and investment in modern machining technology. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Milling Operator / Setter / Programmer to join their skilled production team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated CNC professional who enjoys working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines while ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Program CNC machines (online and offline) where required
  • Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to optimise performance
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and safety checks
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience operating CNC milling machines
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable

  • CNC programming experience (Fanuc, Haas or similar controls)
  • Experience using Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials and machining techniques
  • Previous experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a driven team culture

Shift Patterns Available

Days

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am – 1:15pm

Nights

Monday to Wednesday: 10:00pm – 6:15am

Thursday: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Night shift attracts a 30% shift premium.

Overtime

Time and a half paid for standard overtime hours

Double time paid for Sundays and Bank Holidays
