CNC Setter Operator

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading engineering company, in their search for a CNC Setter Operator to be based at their head office in Ludlow.

What our client is offering for the successful CNC Setter Operator:

• £30,000 P/A
• Monday to Thursday 7.45 AM to 4.30 PM & Friday 7.45 AM to 12.30 PM – this will change after training to 6-2 and 2-10 rotating shift
• Permanent position

The Role – CNC Setter Operator:

• Setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications to produce parts to the required tolerances
• Conducting quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Implementing new production methods and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Carrying out preventative maintenance on CNC machinery
• Supporting and assisting other CNC Operators, providing guidance and training where required
• Working to production schedules whilst maintaining high quality standards
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 procedures and quality requirements
• Following all company Health & Safety and housekeeping procedures
• Carrying out any additional duties as required by management

What our client is looking for in a successful CNC Setter Operator:

• Proven experience setting and operating 3–5 axis CNC milling machines – ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience setting and operating 2–3 axis CNC turning machines – ESSENTIAL
• Experience with Fanuc and Mazatrol controls – ESSENTIAL
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings – ESSENTIAL
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment – ESSENTIAL
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality environment – BENEFICIAL
