About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established specialist engineering and manufacturing business producing precision components for a range of industries.

Working as part of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for milling precision components using CNC and manual milling equipment. You will be expected to work accurately and independently, while maintaining high standards of quality and production.

The role involves working with Hurco VM2 and Hurco 60 machines, using inspection equipment to check finished components and reading technical drawings to ensure work is completed to the required specification. You will also use an ERP system to accurately record manufacturing times.

You will work closely with colleagues across the workshop, including manual and CNC turning, as well as the design and engineering office.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years' CNC milling experience
  • Manual milling experience

You should have strong attention to detail, be confident reading technical drawings and using inspection equipment, and have the ability to carry out measurements and calculations accurately. A strong work ethic, self-starting attitude and good problem-solving skills are essential.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with Hurco machines
  • Forklift truck licence
  • Experience with manual or CNC turning

Qualifications

GCSEs or equivalent are preferred.

Salary & Benefits

The position pays £20.50 per hour, depending on experience, with overtime paid at 1.5x.
