CNC Miller / Turner – Ultra-High Precision Engineering

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly capable CNC Miller / Turner to join a specialist precision engineering company based in Telford. This role is suited to an exceptional individual with proven experience in ultra-high precision machining, a strong bias towards milling, and the ability to work to demanding technical standards.
The successful candidate will join a small, effective, values driven team where quality, accuracy, flexibility and continuous improvement and teamwork are central to day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme, set, operate and produce high-quality milled and turned components, with a primary focus on milling.
- Work confidently with Heidenhain controls in a precision machining environment.
- Machine components to tight tolerances for ultra-high precision applications.
- Inspect their own work against technical drawings, critical-to-quality requirements and relevant specifications.
- Use a range of manual inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Produce work within timescales required.
- Contribute to process improvement, tooling, fixturing and methods development.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong CNC milling and turning experience, with a bias towards milling.
- Proven experience using Heidenhain controls.
- Experience working in ultra-high precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience working within ISO standard environments, including ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand critical-to-quality requirements.
- Experience producing components for vacuum and scientific instrumentation applications would be advantageous.

Working Hours and Location
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30–16:30
- Friday: 07:30–12:30
- Location: Telford
