CNC Milling Setter Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Milling CNC Setter/Operator to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in Coventry.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Milling CNC Setter/Operator with previous CNC milling experience who takes pride in producing high-quality components and enjoys working with modern CNC machinery.
You’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, carrying out tooling and offset changes, proving out programmes and ensuring components are produced safely, accurately and efficiently.
The Role
As a Milling CNC Setter/Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines, including Haas, Mazak and Matsuura.
- Proving out new programmes and making programme modifications where required.
- Carrying out offset changes, tooling changes and cutting tip changes.
- Stripping and resetting tools and fixtures confidently.
- Completing first-off inspections and quality checks using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Producing components in accordance with route cards, technical drawings, quality standards and production schedules.
- Completing relevant paperwork and shop-floor data accurately.
- Supporting TPM, SMED, 6S and continuous improvement activities.
- Working with colleagues and other departments to support manufacturing and quality requirements.
About You
We’re looking for a Milling CNC Setter/Operator with:
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling machinery within a manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of technical drawings.
- An appreciation of machining processes and manufacturing best practice.
- The ability to carry out tooling and offset changes and support programme prove-outs.
- A strong focus on quality, accuracy, safety and meeting production requirements.
GCSE-level Maths and English (or equivalent) and good computer literacy are also required.

This is a full-time, permanent Milling CNC Setter/Operator position working a day shift, offering a salary of £28,000 - £38,000 depending on experience.
