Cnc Operator

Mazco Recruitment is working with a well-established precision engineering company in Chelmsford that is looking to recruit a CNC Operator / Semi-Skilled Machinist to join their growing manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who is looking to develop their skills within a modern machine shop producing high-quality precision components.

The Role

• Loading and operating CNC milling machines.
• Working on DMG, YCM and Haas CNC machining centres.
• Carrying out machining operations to meet production schedules.
• Performing basic quality checks using measuring equipment.
• Ensuring parts are produced to specification and quality standards.
• Liaising with the day shift team to understand priorities and work requirements.
• Providing a smooth and effective handover between shifts.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Following company health and safety procedures at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience operating CNC milling machines.
• Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of DMG, YCM or Haas machines would be advantageous.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Competent using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers.
• Reliable, motivated and eager to learn.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
