We're working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Whitchurch that is looking to add a CNC Operator to its growing team. This opportunity offers the chance to work on a variety of precision-engineered components while playing a key role in supporting production efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

As a CNC Operator, your key responsibilities will include:

• Setting and programming Robo Drill CNC machines, saws, and manual machines.
• Ensuring Components are manufactured accurately to engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Producing and developing programmes for prototype and production components.
• Measuring and inspecting machined components using a range of inspection equipment.
• Troubleshooting machining, tooling, and programme-related issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This position offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to play an important role in maintaining production performance.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this CNC Operator position, you will need:

• A recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience setting and programming CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining methods, tooling, and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills

Experience with Renishaw probing software would be highly beneficial, although training can be provided for the right individual.

As the new CNC Operator, you can expect:

• £21.24 - £22.75 per hour
• 37.5-hour working week
• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45
• Friday: 08:00 - 13:30
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
