A sheet metal manufacturer in Wigston is looking for an experienced CNC Press Brake Setter / Operator who can confidently set and operate Amada machinery without needing someone else to prepare every job.
You’ll be trusted to read engineering drawings, select and load the correct tooling and produce accurate folds and bends across a variety of work.
The role comes with permanent daytime hours, Monday to Friday, plus weekend overtime paid at time and a half.
Location: Wigston, Leicestershire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Pay: Starting from £15.50 per hour
Weekend overtime: Paid at time and a half
What you’ll be doing
- Setting and operating Amada press brake machines
- Selecting, adjusting and loading the correct tooling
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Producing the correct folds and bends for each job
- Taking responsibility for the accuracy and quality of your work
- Keeping machinery clean, safe and in good working order
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Supporting with other production tasks that fall within your skills and experience
The experience you’ll need
- Setting and Operating Amada press brake machines
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Selecting and loading press brake tooling
- Working independently when required
- Working as part of a wider manufacturing team
You’ll also need good attention to detail and a practical approach to getting jobs completed properly.
