Trainee Press Brake Operative

Pay Rate: £13.00 - £13.50 per hour

Choose from one of the following shifts:

• Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 3:30pm
• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 6:00pm

We are recruiting for a Trainee Press Brake Operator to join a fast-paced and growing sheet metal manufacturing business specialising in laser cutting, metal forming, and precision-engineered components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within manufacturing and engineering.

Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Working within a modern production facility, you will be trained to operate press brake machinery, interpret engineering drawings, and produce high-quality metal components to customer specifications. The business prides itself on delivering precision, quality, and fast turnaround times across a wide range of manufacturing projects.

• Learn to set up and operate press brake machines safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions
• Assist in bending and forming sheet metal components to specified tolerances
• Carry out quality checks using measuring equipment
• Support experienced operators with machine setups and tooling changes
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively as part of the production team to meet delivery schedules

• A keen interest in manufacturing, engineering, or metal fabrication
• Strong attention to detail
• Good numeracy and communication skills
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
• Ability to work in a physically active manufacturing environment
• Previous factory, warehouse, machine operating, or engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential

• Full training and ongoing development
