ROLE: CNC Setter Operator (Agathon & Rollomatic Machines)

LOCATION: Leicester (LE4)

HOURS: Monday to Thursday: 6am – 3pm | Friday: 6am – 11am

SALARY: £35,000 per annum

Frontline Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Leicester, who is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join their skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience operating Agathon and Rollomatic CNC grinding machines to join a business renowned for producing highquality precision tooling. THE ROLE

• Setting and operating Agathon and Rollomatic CNC grinding machines.
• Working on:

o    Agathon 400 Penta o       Agathon Combi Plus o       Rollomatic 630XW (GrindSmart)

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.
• Editing and optimising CNC programs using Fanuc/G-code controls where required.
• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections using manual and electronic measuring equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving machine, tooling and material issues to minimise downtime.
• Performing routine machine maintenance and preventative care.
• Working closely with production teams to improve efficiency, reduce set-up times and optimise manufacturing processes.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in line with 5S principles.
• Following all company quality procedures, ISO standards and health & safety requirements.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience as a CNC Setter Operator within a precision engineering or tool manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years' experience operating CNC grinding machines.
• Experience with Agathon and/or Rollomatic CNC machines is highly desirable.
• Experience working with 4 and 5-axis CNC grinding machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Fanuc/G-code programming and editing.
• Strong understanding of precision measurement techniques and inspection equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
• A proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach to work.
