Actio Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding precision engineering company based in Rochdale. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their machining team on a permanent day shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist with strong programming experience using Fanuc controls, looking to join a modern manufacturing environment offering long-term stability and career development.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture high-quality precision components to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.
• Create, edit and optimise CNC programmes to improve efficiency and cycle times.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• First-off inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters.
• Make machine and tooling offsets as required.
• Ensure a safe, clean and organised working environment.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator.
• Strong knowledge and experience of programming Fanuc-controlled machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience manufacturing precision-engineered components.
• Competent in the use of measuring equipment and quality inspection techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
