Are you a CNC Turner who can set and program Fanuc-controlled machines and fancy moving to a 4-day working week?
We're recruiting for an established engineering company in Poole, offering up to £25 per hour, an annual bonus, a holiday buy-back scheme and a range of additional benefits.
If you're confident programming, setting and producing precision components, this could be worth a conversation.
What you'll be doing
You'll be working in a subcontract precision engineering environment, producing components from prototypes through to medium-sized production batches.
- Programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes.
- Using Fanuc and Manual Guide programming.
- Reading and working from engineering drawings.
- Setting tooling, work-holding and bar feed systems.
- Making machine changes and resets throughout the day.
- Carrying out first-off inspections and checking your own work using measuring equipment.
- Working with materials including stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, brass and plastics.
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner, Setter or Programmer.
- Experience programming Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes.
- Ability to set and operate machines independently.
- Experience working in a subcontract or low-volume machining environment would be useful.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, tooling and precision measurement.
- Someone comfortable working on different jobs and changing between components.
You'll be joining an established Poole-based precision engineering business with decades of experience in subcontract machining, fabrication and engineering. The company works across a range of sectors, including marine, defence, medical and motorsport, producing components to customer specifications.
