Commercial Director required in Central London to lead the commercial function of a growing Main Contractor, offering a salary of £110,000–£140,000 plus car allowance and the opportunity to shape the business across cladding and new build residential projects.

Job Description

• Leading a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals as Commercial Director, providing clear direction, development and leadership across the commercial function.
• Driving the commercial performance of cladding, façade and new build residential projects across Central London as the senior commercial leader.
• Managing commercial strategy, cost control, forecasting, valuations, variations, procurement, risk and final accounts across the project portfolio.
• Working closely with the senior leadership, operations, estimating and pre-construction teams to support the successful delivery and profitable growth of the business.
• Building strong relationships with clients, developers, consultants and supply chain partners while playing a key role as Commercial Director in the continued growth of the Main Contractor.

Skills / Qualifications

• Main Contractor background with significant experience in a senior commercial management role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Director, Commercial Manager or senior Quantity Surveyor, with a strong track record of leading and developing a commercial team.
• Strong experience across new build residential construction, with cladding, façade or external envelope experience highly advantageous for the Commercial Director role.
• Commercially astute with strong knowledge of construction contracts, risk management, procurement, cost control and project financial performance.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate strategically as a Commercial Director while maintaining a detailed understanding of project-level commercial delivery in Central London.
