The Opportunity
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making across the business. You'll work closely with stakeholders at all levels, helping them understand financial performance, identify opportunities, and drive commercial success.
Key responsibilities:
- Producing insightful financial and operational analysis to support business performance.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities.
- Delivering meaningful management information and performance reporting.
- Analysing financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Partnering with operational and departmental managers to support decision-making.
- Providing robust financial challenge and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining financial models to support commercial initiatives and investment decisions.
- Investigating variances and providing clear, concise commentary.
- Supporting strategic projects through detailed financial analysis and business case evaluation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and commercial performance.
- Presenting financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Supporting senior leadership with ad hoc analysis and commercial insight.
We're looking for an individual who can confidently bridge the gap between finance and operations.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within a Commercial Finance Analyst, Finance Analyst, Management Accountant or Business Partnering role.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large and complex data sets.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience producing meaningful financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Confidence presenting financial information to non-finance audiences.
- A naturally curious mindset with a desire to understand how the wider business operates.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence decision-making.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach and a genuine desire to add value.
