Commercial Management Accountant

Axon Moore are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a fantastic private equity-backed business based in Staffordshire. Our client is looking to add a Commercial Management Accountant to join their finance team.
Reporting to their Commercial Finance Lead, this position will provide the business with a commercial viewpoint of the financials, delivering key reporting and analysis across revenue, stock holdings, costs, budgeting, and forecasting. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic organisation where finance plays a key role in supporting business performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales reporting, including:
- Month-end reporting
- Global sales analysis
- Product mix analysis
- Sales team performance reporting
- Ad hoc commercial reporting
- Stock control, including month-end global stock reporting
- Month-end intercompany reconciliations
- Cashflow reporting
- Departmental cost reporting, including variance analysis against budget
- Supporting group budgeting and forecasting processes
- Acting as the Epicor and Power BI custodian
- Development of reports and driving continuous improvement of procedures and reporting processes
- Assisting with reporting to senior leaders and key business stakeholders
- Supporting external audit requirements
- Ad hoc project work across the finance function and wider business
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Commercial Accountant, or similar finance role
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills
- Exposure to Power BI and/or Epicor would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates will be considered
- Salary of £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

- Study support available for candidates actively pursuing their AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification
