Commercial Manager – Power / Transmission Sector

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a growing and ambitious contractor operating within the power and transmission sector.

This is a key leadership position, offering the opportunity to take responsibility for the commercial management of major projects while leading and developing a team of commercial professionals.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial performance of projects from contract award through to final account, ensuring strong commercial control and effective contract management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of commercial professionals.
• Oversee the commercial performance of power sector projects from contract award through to final account.
• Manage and administer NEC contracts, specifically NEC Options C and E.
• Provide strong commercial and contractual leadership across projects.
• Support effective commercial strategy, risk management and negotiations.
• Drive commercial performance and ensure projects achieve their financial objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Demonstrable experience managing and developing a commercial team.
• Strong experience working with NEC Options C and E.
• Previous experience within the power, energy, utilities, construction or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong commercial, contractual and negotiation skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• A proactive, commercially focused approach with strong attention to detail.
